CITY OF HARLINGEN CONTINUES TO PRACTICE REVERSE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST NON-SPANISH SPEAKING QUALIFIED JOB SEEKERS! ENGLISH SPEAKERS NEED NOT APPLY!

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Experience in secretarial and clerical work.
  • Knowledge of the standard practices, procedures, and operation of a municipal court system. 
  • Ability to make minor administrative decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of receipting process and daily deposits. 
  • Graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in typing and business practices or an equivalent combination of experience and training. 
  • Ability to speak Spanish fluently.
  • Must be able to work alternating weekends.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

I would think that it would be no brain er to speak fluent Spanish? My commons sense would tell me that being the majority here in Harlingen, TX. The majority of tickets issued by the "happy ticket writing, can't catch a real criminal" are to Spanish speaking drivers???????????????? Especially now that we got more of those "real taco benders" seeking asylum here because of the "desmadre" in their own country!
