Thought for Today
"I always felt that the great high privilege, relief and comfort of friendship was that one had to explain nothing." — Katherine Mansfield, New Zealander author (1888-1923).

“A Prayer For A Heart Of Compassion”

Praying manLoving Father, would You bring to our attention people who go unnoticed or those who are rejected by the “norms” of society. Put their face on our conscience so that we will take the time or make the necessary sacrifice to assure them that they are cared for. Show us how we can help shoulder their burdens. Prompt us to extend the loving touch that Jesus extended when He stretched out His hand and touched the leper mentioned in Mark’s Gospel. And remind us to faithfully pray for them which is an evidence of our genuine care. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
