MAJOR PROBLEM WITH APRIL 6TH CITY COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA ITEM NUMBER 23

If you look at the agenda for the city commission meeting on April 6th, 2011, above, and you scroll down to agenda item number 23, you will notice a major problem with that particular item of business:

Item 23) Consider and take action on whether or not to authorize the City Manager to exchange real property located at Lots 17-19, Block 59, Original Townsite of Harlingen, Cameron County, Texas owned by the City of Harlingen Waterworks conditioned upon approval by the Harlingen Waterworks.

Unfortunately, the City of Harlingen Waterworks doesn't own that particular property, the City of Harlingen owns it!  So, the City of Harlingen Waterworks can't approve authorizing the Harlingen City Manager to exchange real property between the City of Harlingen Waterworks and the City of Harlingen Waterworks conditioned on approval by the City of Harlingen Waterworks.  Especially, when the city of Harlingen Waterworks doesn't own the property to begin with!
