Unlike headline and comment hungry Tony Chapa and his disgraced blog site, this Blog publication along with certain Valley Morning Star staff have known about the upcoming retirement of Harlingen City Secretary Sylvia Trevino for several days. We just felt it was appropriate not to publish this fact until Sylvia was ready to make her official announcement. Her position is under pressure to do the right thing for the public every day of the week. Sylvia is a tough but fair City Secretary, she will be hard to replace.
