City of Harlingen, Not EDC, Sets Up Meeting!

Word on the street is that Bass Pro Shops brings in their own construction crews from the home office to do ALL of the types of work mentioned in the solicitation below.  In addition to that, BPS also brings in their own materials for the project.  If this is true, you can kiss goodbye the notion of hiring local labor and purchasing local materials by BPS for this project!

INVITATION FOR ALL CONTRACTORS,  CONSTRUCTION TRADES AND SUPPLIERS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Harlingen, Texas will host an informative meeting for all
contractors, construction trades and suppliers interested in participating in the construction of
the following project::

Bass Pro Shops
Building Construction and Site Work

The meeting will be held on  Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at  2:00 pm at the  Casa Del Sol
located at  221 E. Madison Harlingen, Texas.

The meeting is to provide information to interested contractors regarding qualifications for selection criteria and bid submittals.

All contractors, suppliers and construction trades (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, framing,
steel, painting, dry wall, flooring, fire protection, roofing, concrete, landscaping, masonry,
welding, etc.) are encouraged to attend the meeting.
