BROWNSVILLE NAVIGATIONAL DISTRICT SETTLES FOR NOTHING: PORT DIRECTORS AGREE TO DROP PURSUIT OF LOST MILLIONS IN EXCHANGE FOR ENGINEERING WORK!

February 22, 2007
They didn’t like it, but said they had no choice.
This is how a majority of Brownsville Navigation District board members explained their vote Wednesday to settle with Dannenbaum Engineering Corp. It means the district won’t recover one cent of the $24,000,000 million spent toward building an international bridge that to date does not exist.
Board Chairman Martin Arambula, Vice-Chairman Luigi Cristiano and commissioners Roy de los Santos and Carlos Masso voted for the agreement.
Commissioner Peter M. Zavaletta voted against it, characterizing the deal as:

the county’s greatest scandal

 that is now the county’s

greatest sellout.

$24,000,000 MILLION DOWN THE

 TUBE!!!
