8-LINER CORRUPTION AND ORGANIZED CRIME CONTINUES!

WHERE'S MY $5,000?

Word on the street is that a local 8-liner illegal gambling joint, housed in the parking lot of a Valero Gas Station, (perhaps Valero should know they are promoting illegal gambling and organized crime in their parking lot) just off of Bass Blvd, had a serious problem a few days ago.  It turns out a customer playing one of the machines hit the jackpot for $5,000.  Their is just one problem or maybe two.  The first problem is, that the machine is not supposed to pay out more than $5.00 to a winner according to Texas State Law.  The other problem is , that when the winner went up to the manager/operator of the gambling joint to collect his $5,000 winnings, the manager refused to pay up.  He said, "I'm only going to pay you $2,500, not $5,000."  The winner got mad and big argument broke out.  The police were called and we are waiting for the outcome.  I would say that the place needs to be shut down, organized crime (RICO) charges should be brought against the owners/operators/managers.  The winner should be arrested, and Valero should get their act together and quit promoting illegal gambling!

AND WHERE IS THE CUT TO THE POLICE AND DA'S OFFICE FOR LOOKING THE OTHER WAY?
