Commissioners Prepejchal and Trevino Can Kiss Re-election Hopes Goodbye!!

Dozens of Old Guard activists met today to declare war on the inept Harlingen City Commissioners and their followers.  A Political Action Committee is forming to counter the perceived wrong direction that the City of Harlingen has been taking of late.  Some of the main players who attended the war council meeting, February 8th, at the Los Nortenos Mexican Restaurant at noon were:  

Frank Boggus, Tudor Uhlhorn, Bill DeBrooke, Eddie Medrano, Nic Consiglio, Alan Johnson, Bobby Farris, Kori Marra, Sue Taubert, Jay Meade, and many other movers and shakers of the local political scene.  

"One thing for certain is the fact that when you get this caliber of heavy hitters together in one room at one time to agree to change direction of the city, you better watch out, they mean business, and they have major money behind them," stated an attendee who wished to remain anonymous.

"I wouldn't bet a plugged nickel on the chances of Treveno and Prepejchal winning re-election, they have really screwed things up in this city, they can kiss their re-election plans goodbye," chimed in a well dressed Hispanic woman who declined to be identified.

Officers of the new PAC were named and the group agreed to start recruiting candidates for the next local municipal elections which will be held in May 2012.  Commissioners Kori Marra, Jerry Prepejchal, and Joey Trevino will be up for re-election in 2012, if they choose to run.  

Several opposition leaders were contacted to respond to these new developments but they all refused to comment for this story!
